Because I am a mad woman, I tend to take on more projects than I can chew. The flip side of this madness is that I am realllllly passionate about the things that I throw my efforts into. For nearly nine months, I have been planning an unconference, lavish!, for those of us who are lifestyle-centric social media enthusiasts. This includes folks who blog/Facebook/tweet about all things fashion & beauty, food & wine, interior styles, entertainment, creative arts, travel and other general lifestyle considerations.
Along with my production partner, Events By Canvas, we shopped and found a venue that is just right for those of us who are interested in networking and results-oriented best practices as it relates to our affinity for all things lifestyle. You can only imagine how thrilled we were to partner with The Mansion on Peachtree. As beautiful as the property is, the people are a million times more dynamic. What I LOVE about the team at The Mansion on Peachtree is their commitment to their customers. I can't wait for you all to see it!
The conference will be held on December 10-11, 2010 in Atlanta. Save the date because it's going to be a good time. We'll certainly focus on education but we're going to socialize quite a bit, too. After all, this event is first-in-class; so it'll likely be the first time that many of us will be in the same space at the same time. Ultimately, I want to create a place where our creative community can come together to discuss the matters that are important to US. From how to engaging with marketers to capturing the best vlog footage, you'll walk away with content that you can apply to your blogs.
Another thing that's important to me for lavish! is that it's affordable. When registration opens in a few weeks, you'll find that it's less than $200 and includes meals, education and networking opportunities! Wonderful, right? In the meantime, I hope you'll get involved on the Facebook and Twitter pages.
I look forward to announcing the speakers and schedule within the next few weeks.
In the meantime, which lifestyle bloggers would YOU like to see at lavish!? Any particular topics that you'd like to see covered?
You know I would love to see Eddie Ross at this event. The host with the most! Or Preston Bailey...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
I can't wait to finally meet you. Although I hope we meet before December!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a great event and I look foreward to being in attendance!
The Queen of Cashmere, of course:). Maxminimus. Faux Fuchsia from Australia. Jill of Stella Roars. Summer is a Verb. The ones who are all a wee bit over the top and make me laugh...Then Jane of simple+pretty, because I like her aesthetic so much, ditto Maria of vintage simple and Reggie Darling. Also Imogen of Upside Down Style, and Deja Pseu of Une Femme D'un Certain Age, and Kat of Corporette, for good, practical, budget-wise advice. The Preppy Princess if you want to include preppy as a lifestyle. And that's just for starters...:).
ReplyDeleteI want to see Megan from http://friedokra4me.blogspot.com. No matter what she writes about, I feel as if I were standing in the room when it happened.
