A Tall Drink Of Lemonade...Summer Wardrobes On A Budget!

Good day, dahlings!

I am feeling some kind of wonderful today because the weather is absolutely beautiful in Atlanta. It's nearly 80 degrees with no humidity. Why can't it be this way year-round?

Since my summer wardrobe looks sorta bleak (I realized this when doing my closet project the other day), I've been perusing a few sites for a few pieces. JC Penney isn't normally on my radar but my bargain shoppers' intuition had me pop over to their website yesterday. Most of the stuff really isn't my speed but I happened upon this lovely lemon dress and absolutely fell in L-O-V-E! Originally priced at $120, it has been reduced to $60. It has "summer soiree'" written all over it. I must pass on this one (TBS doesn't do halters) but am hopeful that one of you will go into MUST HAVE mode and take it home.

You might also want to do a Google search on 'JC Penney coupon codes' for an additional 10-20% off.

Have you bought any summer wardrobe items yet? Any good deals to share?

Get Naked...Bear Naked!

If you've not had Bear Naked Granola, here's your chance. They are offering a free sample via mail on their website, in addition to coupons, when you sign up to be a member of (what else?) The Den!
I recently added Bear Naked Granola to my pantry and love it. I add it to a cup of yogurt and berries for a filling breakfast or weekend snack.
What do you usually have for breakfast?

Ka-CHING! TBS Saves Big At The Grocery Store

One of my least favorite things to do in the world is shopping. No..not THAT type of shopping. I absolutely loathe grocery shopping. Since my family needs sustenance to survive, I finally went last night after putting off the chore for days. We had gotten down to, like, broccoli and tomato paste.

I spent a bit of time clipping coupons a couple of Sundays ago and struck out to the market after work. Well, the clipping and schleping up and down the aisles was worth it! I saved $23.60! Imagine that!
I was so proud! I popped out with my fab grocery totes and an extra pep in my step. I've now decided to do more coupon clipping and organizing. I look forward to sharing on-line resources here soon.
When was the last time you used a coupon? What'd you buy?

Between A Shoe and A Hard Place

Dear Mr TBS,
Hello there! I hope you're having a wonderful day. You know that I love you so, right? Well, our good thing may come to an end because you've forbidden me from bringing another pair of slingbacks into our home. I think I even heard you mumble something about putting my bags outside the door. Well, the peep toes above are as good as mine. Gotta have them. They're sooooooooooooooooooo TBS. When we took our vows, I thought we'd never part 'til death or until you made me choose between you and a pair of shoes. The shoes will win every time. (read: please, please, please let me have these shoes. I promise I won't talk anymore trash).
Check out these shoes at BODEN USA. For a 10% discount and free shipping, use coupon code WMAR.

If you love Whole Foods but occasionally balk at their prices, pick up a copy of their newsletter, The Whole Deal at their stores. The newsletter features budget-friendly recipes, items under $3 and coupons.
The world is right again.
Do you shop at Whole Foods? Any bargain-centric tips? If you don't shop there, why not?

All Of This For $100?!: From Dear Reader, Tiffany In Houston

Imagine my surprise when I got an email from a one Ms Tiffany In Houston (you guessed it: LOVE her!) last afternoon!

She's famous for her cheeky one-liners but now I recognize the TBS tendencies flowing through her veins. I'm so proud!
Between bites of her turkey sandwich (or whatever) at her desk yesterday, TIH was able to find this dynamic red dress, perfect baubles and a pair of pumps for less than $100! Yay, TIH! I am sooooo proud of you. TIH was able to work her magic with a $25 off coupon.
Perhaps I can convince her to send pics of her wearing these pieces of her wardrobe when they arrive. Please, TIH, pretty please?
How'd she do? You like?
Thanks for sharing, TIH!
