Sugar Coma Redux - It's Almost That Time!

One of the things that I've enjoyed most recently about The Broke Socialite is the dawn of the Sugar Coma series. If y'all will remember, it's a dessert crawl that started here in Atlanta about a year ago that I' ve now decided to take *drum rolls, please* NATIONWIDE! Yes. My team and I have identified nearly 40 major markets with Sugar Coma and other lifestyle-centric and experience-based tours.  You know, as easy as it is to go to the movies or grab dinner, I created this series, The Broke Socialite Does..., out of sheer selfishness.  You likely will not be surprised to find that I bore easily (smile); so these events are a representation of the things I'm passionate about and the things I like to do just toss a luxury shuttle bus and an element of social meeting (we're tweeting and Facebook-ing all the while).  The next immediate tour, Sugar Coma Redux, will be held here in Atlanta on May 1. If you can believe it, the tour sold out in 36 hours. A.MA.ZING.  If you're in Atlanta, fret not. Soon registration will open for the following:

  • June 12 - Sugar Coma OTP (bakeries, cupcakeries and restaurants in Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming, Milton, Johns Creek)
  • June 19 - Freeze! (Atlanta's best frozen treats - ice cream, milk shakes, frozen yogurt, gelato, sorbet)
The first foray outside of Atlanta will be Savannah, GA; so the team and I will be taking a trip there soon to explore our tour options. How awesome, right?

The May 1st tour will feature the dear Tami of Running With Tweezers as our Sugar Mama/tour goddess. She is an amazing stylist, wonderful photographer and an all-around darling.

  6. This is an awesome idea - and a great way to promote small businesses (which so many desert spaces are). Great work!

  7. Incredible tour; I've heard about this thing everywhere (Bakerella. etc), and if you don't bring it to Florida, there will be a host of very unhappy sugar-loving peeps! Rah! :) Bring it on, Socialite. We want SUGAR.
