The Broke Socialite Meets Clark Howard....FINALLY!

In the realm of the austere, the glitterati do not get much better than the likes of Suze Orman, Clark Howard, et al.

Imagine my delight when I had an opportunity to attend a VIP Breakfast a couple of weeks ago with Mr Cheap-O himself, Clark Howard.  McDonald's of Greater Atlanta was our host and it was an informative session, indeed. Clark talked everything from Gen Y savings to the recession to values at Mickey D's.

More of Clark's advice is covered in his book, Get Clark Smart: The Ultimate Guide To Getting Rich From America's Money Saving Expert.

I've included a clip from the morning. I hope you enjoy.

Have you realized any cost savings principles recently?

  1. I was reading your tweets when you were there! I wish I could have went. My husband and I love Clark Howard!

BTW, about your outfit for the concert. I think that you're on the right track. Jeans, a nice tee, and like Dayka suggested, simple earrings and a fab neclace would look great. Boots are okay, but since you will be standing most of the time, I would opt for some nice flats. A blazer will be great and a clutch!

    Have fun girl!

  2. I grew up with Clark Howard - at least his voice blasting from my Dad's radio or TV... he practically worships him. Seriously. But, I have a lot of respect for Clark & would love to have an opportunity to hear him speak some time.

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love Clark Howard and listen to his Friday Flyer deals. I remember buying a ticket to Hawaii for $250!
