Life doesn't really get a lot better.
As I type, I'm sitting 35,000 feet above God's green earth and am thrilled about a couple of things. First of all, I'll be on The Martha Stewart Show tomorrow morning. My friend, Allison, reminded me that it was merely 2 years ago that we were sitting in The Grape in Inman Park with 10-12 of my closest girlfriends (and some of their friends) about this little concept that I'd been tooling around in my head. I had a name for it: "The Broke Socialite" but I wasn't sure about what I wanted to do with it. Over wine (much wine) and many tapas, we brainstormed about the next steps: would it be a shopping blog? A couponing blog? Something in between...
Overwhelmingly, most everyone had the same advice: stop talking about it and JUST DO IT! (Kudos to Nike for that one) And "DO IT" I certainly did.
With your loyal readership, I finally found my "voice". I can't help but wonder where else will it take me? Not sure but I'm feeling very humbled and extremely proud right now. Between writing the blog, family stuff and the real J-O-B, I rarely stop to smell the roses. I'm doing just that. Right now. And it's very aromatic.
I'm not quite sure what Martha will have to offer or if I'll end up on the cutting room floor but The Big M has finally met her match: The Broke Socialite. Move over Jennifer Garner, TBS needs to dish with Martha.
I can't wait to share the details and pictures from the trip!
Cheers to you all! I can't thank you enough.
