Drum Roll, Please...BIG TBS News!!!!
Happy Friday, y'all! TGIF!!!!!!! (there simply aren't enough exclamation points to express my joy that this week is over)
I've been sitting on this information for a few weeks now and I've finally been licensed to spill the beans. I, who scribes this little ol' blog, have been invited to....to....to....be a speaker at BlogHer '09 in Chicago on July 24-25!!!! Wooohoooo!!!!
I've been asked to contribute to a panel entitled, "LifeBlogging Outside the Lines: When You’re Not a Geek, a Political Wonk or a MommyBlogger".
For those of you who are familiar with the machinery of the blogosphere, you'll appreciate how HUGE this is for me! When I got the news a couple of Saturdays ago, I was on my way to a 7 AM hair appointment. Because the eternal red light located at Boulevard and Highland in Atlanta seemed to be frozen in time, I had time to check my email from my phone. As I dug further into the message from the BlogHer team, I was overwhelmed with tears and gasping for air. Too bad there was no paper bag to be found;-)
Thanks to everyone at BlogHer for inviting me; I can't wait to meet you!
Chicago, here comes TBS! Watch out!
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to my lovely wife!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome news! I was SO hoping to attend blogher this year, but just found out the state of CA is broke and will not be sending us our tax refund that we are owed (even though we no longer live there). Not sure I'll have the IOU in time to go - or ever for that matter. So bummed because I missed BlissDom09 as well due to my father getting a cut in pay and my mom being layed off later this year. It felt more important to give them some money from our federal return.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blast! I'll be sure to check in while you're there and see how great it is! :)
When I saw the name of your site, I thought: this woman is for me! We're on the same panel--so what are we gonna talk about????
ReplyDeleteHey, looking forward to meeting you - I'm a fellow panelist, and a fellow Atlantan! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic! Congratulations!
