I'm an 'all or nothing' kind of girl, I tell ya. No middle of the road. No gray area. When I tell you that I am obsessed (yes...obsessed) with coffee, it is surely an understatement. I've had the same coffeemaker for nearly five years now...nothing fancy. In fact, I think I bought it from Target and paid less than $40. Here is where I should opine about getting what you pay for.
Well...my trusty coffeemaker died a very painful death a few weeks ago. I set up a pot to brew, walked away to do some other things (as I had in the past) and I returned to a counter filled with brown water and coffee grounds. *sigh* A mess! Surely, I'd done something wrong so I cleaned up my mess and brewed another pot (I'm an addict that way). Lo and behold, the same thing was about to happen...the spillage.
It was then that I thanked said generic coffeemaker for its service, blessed it and sent it on it's journey to the graveyard of small appliances.
After we returned from the Disney trip, I began a search for a replacement. I've searched hi and lo but have not found the perfect brewing station yet. I've a Keurig that I'm using until I find juuuuuussssttttt the perfect 8 cup machine; after all, I MUST be prepared when I entertain, right? Riiiiigggghhhhttt,
My story tickled my friends over at The Foundary so much that they thought it'd be fun for me to giveaway one of their swanky coffee makers to you...my readers. I'll continue to use my Keurig while one of you enjoys the Jura Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS Coffee Maker Burr Grinder Combo (Retail value: $284.99). I take my 1 cup allowance per day (until this baby makes her appearance, anyway) with Splenda and almond milk. Would definitely switch back to a more indulgent version with this coffee maker!
ReplyDeleteI used to take it light and sweet but in the interest of my health and waistline, I've cut back on both and now it's almost black (I can't quit my half and half) with a whole lot less sugar
ReplyDeleteI take my coffee with cream and splenda.

ReplyDeleteI would die for this coffee pot. I currently don't have a coffee pot at home because I brought mine to work. I spend 50+ hours a week at work so I felt that was a necessity to have with me.
Oh my word- my baby four cup pot was on its last leg last year so this is such a perfect giveaway!! Crossing my fingers.
ReplyDeleteI take my coffee with lots of cream (or whatever milky project is around) and NO sugar. And if I at at S'bucks, I make certain they don't add any foam. Because I don't understand the point of paying for a drop of milk and air. Air should be free. But that's not really your question. Very creamy and no sugar please.

ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I take my coffee strong with a 3:1 ratio of milk to sugar. It's how purplechichi calls the coffee "almost blonde". :)
ReplyDeleteLove my coffee in a mild roast, a little cardamom, nutmeg, & then a bit of agave & cream. Sometimes I also add a hint of chipotle! But sometimes I also go with a strong chai latte!

I like my medium roast coffee with a splash (or two) of white chocolate syrup, truvia, and a flavored creamer - I favor all flavors. The number of cups of coffee I have each day depends on the number of flavors I have on hand.
ReplyDeleteI just tweeted @blackswan93.
ReplyDeleteI add a teaspoon of cinnamon, approximately 3 tablespoons of dark brown sugar and then pour into a covered jar and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, I simply add half & half (or cream--whatever suits your fancy), add ice to a glass and pour the coffee through a strainer. Simply divine coffee!
ReplyDeleteTweeted at JBFSale ABQ. I take my coffee sweet with lots of creamer. It is my special treat in the morning.
ReplyDeleteCream, no sugar. Although I recently got addicted to those flavored creamers... and those have sugar.
ReplyDelete*fingers crossed*
