My Summer Cookbook: 101 Simple Summer Dishes
I LOVE to post this link every year as the weather turns warm. The only thing that I enjoy more is actually abiding by this "cookbook" and consuming the delightful dishes. Mr TBS introduced me to The Minimalist, Mark Bittman, in The New York Times a few years ago by actually printing all of these recipes and bringing them home for us to try.
Trust me. Some of the greatest dishes I've ever eaten are embedded in this list. In the past, Mr TBS and I have taken turns choosing something from the list and surprising the other with it AND a great bottle of sparkling water (or wine, for me).
I wouldn't steer you wrong.
Take a pass!
What's your favorite warm weather dish?

These all sound fabulous here, can't wait to check out the full list! I am a fan of throwing herbs or a rub onto fresh fish like scallops or shrimp, then skewering them and throwing them on the grill! Serve with lemon slices and a salad and voila, done!

ReplyDeleteOh I so agree about Mark Bittman. His dishes are simple and elegant. Great for when you are having company.
ReplyDeleteAll of your dishes sound very tasty. I like simplicity...a simple cucumber and mayo or tomato and mayo sandwich on home made whole grain bread is very satisfying.
